Every Glass Job We Arrange, In One List

Residential and commercial glazing, split the way the trade actually splits it.

Emergency and repair work

  • 24/7 emergency glass repair — make-safe, board-up and security after break-ins, storms, hail and accidents.
  • Window repair and replacement — reglazing timber and aluminium frames, plus custom awning, double-hung, sliding, louvre and bi-fold windows.
  • Scratch and graffiti removal — polishing out scratching and acid tags where the glass can take it, instead of replacing the sheet.
  • Shopfront glass — laminated shopfront panels, entry doors, and overnight board-ups that let a business open in the morning.

Around the house

  • Shower screens — framed, semi-frameless and frameless, all in toughened safety glass.
  • Glass splashbacks — 6mm toughened, colour-matched, templated on site after the benchtop goes in.
  • Mirrors — bathroom, wardrobe, gym and studio mirrors cut to size with polished or bevelled edges.
  • Double glazed windows — insulated glass units for houses that leak heat through the glazing.
  • Glass doors — hinged, sliding, stacker and bi-fold, or reglazing the door already in the opening.
  • Fly screens — pleated, sliding and fixed insect screens in extruded aluminium.
  • Table tops and furniture glass — cut-to-size tops, shelving and cabinet glass.

Outside and overhead

  • Glass balustrades — frameless and semi-framed, for stairs, balconies and decks.
  • Glass roofs, awnings and skylights — overhead glazing, which has its own rules about laminated glass.
  • Pool fencing — frameless and semi-frameless glass barriers built to the Victorian pool barrier requirements.
  • Smart glass — switchable privacy glass for partitions, consulting rooms and bathrooms.

Who each stream suits

Most enquiries land in one of two buckets. Residential work is houses, units and townhouses: broken glass, bathrooms, kitchens, balustrades and energy upgrades. Commercial work is shops, offices, schools, gyms and body corporate common property, where security, trading hours and public liability drive the timeline more than the glass does.

Insurance and quoting

Glass claims are ordinary insurance work and most insurers handle them without fuss. Some pay the glazier direct, some reimburse you after you have paid; you will be told which applies before work begins. Either way, a real quote needs a measurement — glass is priced by area, thickness, type and edgework, and no honest number comes off a phone call alone. The cost guide sets out what moves the price, the FAQ covers the questions that come up most, and the AS 1288 explainer covers where safety glass is legally required.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Do you do commercial glazing as well as houses?

Yes. Shopfronts, office partitions, glass entry doors, balustrades and after-hours board-ups for retail and commercial tenancies are arranged the same way as domestic work. The main difference is glass thickness and timing: shopfront panels are heavier and often need two people and a lifter, and most commercial make-safe work happens outside trading hours.

What is the smallest job worth calling about?

A single cracked pane, a cut-to-size mirror, a replacement oven door glass or a piece of shelf glass are all normal jobs. Very small items are often cheaper if you bring the frame or the measurements in rather than paying for a site visit, so it is worth asking on the phone which way suits the job.

Can one glazier handle a whole bathroom or kitchen fit-out?

Usually yes, and it is worth bundling. A bathroom typically means a shower screen, a mirror and sometimes a splashback, and all three are templated off the same finished walls. Doing them in one measure and one install visit saves a second call-out fee and means the glass all matches in tint and edgework.
